According to an article published in the St. Paul Pioneer Press on Sunday, February 15, the days of the sprawling suburban home may be numbered. As the economy sours, people are still looking for cozy comfort. However, two-story foyers, giant lots and 5,000 square feet of living space is becoming smaller on the list of “must-haves” for today’s families. The trend is toward smaller homes, lower ceilings, smaller lots and more multi-functional spaces. That doesn’t mean familes are giving up on all the extras, however.
